Issues we often look out for
Older homes here can have tile-hung walls, timber frames and soft brick that need sympathetic repair. We often find damp linked to blocked ventilation, high ground levels or failing gutters and downpipes. Both sandy and clay soils feature in the area, so we check for movement near trees, and we look closely at extensions, conservatories and loft conversions.
